A Simple Anniversary Tradition Worth Starting on Your Wedding Day

Some of the best wedding ideas are the ones that last far beyond the celebration itself. This one is simple, meaningful, and something you can look forward to year after year.

Personal finance expert Rachel Cruze shared that she and her husband started a tradition when they got married and is inviting other couples to adopt this tradition. They purchased several cases of wine from the year they were married and each anniversary they open one bottle to celebrate.

It’s a small idea, but it turns into something really special over time.

There’s something meaningful about tying each anniversary back to your wedding year in such a tangible way. As the wine ages, so does your marriage. Each bottle becomes a marker of time, a chance to pause and reflect on the year behind you and the years ahead.

It also creates a built-in way to celebrate. No need to overthink plans or spend a lot of money every year. You already have something set aside that feels intentional and consistent to celebrate your marriage year after year.
