Your bridal suite is where some of your favorite wedding day memories begin, from getting ready with your bridesmaids to those special first-look photos. But before the big day, there are a few things you'll want to consider to make sure your space is functional, organized and photo-ready.
1. Check the Lighting
Professional hair and makeup artists typically bring their own lighting, but if you're doing your own, good lighting is essential. If your bridal suite doesn't have plenty of natural light, consider bringing a portable makeup light or lighted mirror.
2. Keep Your Space Clean and Photo-Ready
Your photographer will likely capture getting-ready photos in your bridal suite, so you don't want clutter in the background. Designate a corner or specific area for bridesmaids to keep their bags, clothes and personal belongings so the rest of the room stays picture-perfect.
3. Plan for Outlets and Extra Mirrors
With multiple people getting ready, you may need additional mirrors, extension cords or power strips for styling tools. Check what's already available in your bridal suite and bring extras if necessary, making sure electrical equipment is used safely.
4. Know Your Access Times
Confirm what time you can enter the bridal suite and when your belongings need to be removed. Coordinate these times with your hair and makeup team, photographer and bridesmaids to avoid unnecessary rushing.
5. Make Sure There's Enough Space
Your bridal suite might feel spacious during a tour, but add bridesmaids, hairstylists, makeup artists and photographers, and it can fill up quickly. Consider how many people will be getting ready at once and whether there's enough seating, counter space and room to move around comfortably.
