An Intimate Mountaintop Elopement in Arkansas

Some love stories aren’t written in bold headlines. They’re found in quiet glances, private vows, and moments so personal they don’t need an audience. That’s exactly how this couple approached their big day—by skipping the traditional path and eloping on a mountaintop in Arkansas.

Sierra and Brandon eloped on April 19, 2024.

Their decision to elope wasn’t a last-minute choice or a second-best option—it was the most authentic reflection of their relationship.

“We chose to elope because we wanted a celebration that felt personal, allowing us to focus on what mattered – each other,” Sierra said.

That simple, powerful intention became the foundation for every decision.

There was no formal engagement. No grand venue. No pressure to perform. Instead, they chose Mount Magazine in Paris, Arkansas, a breathtaking location that held a special memory. It wasn’t just picturesque—it was personal.

“We exchanged vows at Mount Magazine in Paris, Arkansas, a place close to our hearts as it was the site of one of our very first dates,” Sierra shared.

The morning was still and overcast, the kind of sky that seems to soften the world just enough to make everything feel more intimate.

“Honestly, the moody skies added a romantic, cinematic touch that fit the vibe perfectly!” she said.

While elopements often seem like they’ll be simple to plan, the reality is that even small-scale celebrations benefit from professional support.

“Even though we chose to elope, I wholeheartedly recommend hiring a wedding planner,” she said.

Some wedding planners like Bridget Nice, owner of Nice Wedding & Event Planning, offer wedding planning and day-of coordination for weddings and elopements around the country.

“Bridget Nice was incredible—she helped craft a timeline in the weeks leading up to the big day and provided seamless coordination throughout,” Sierra said. “Everything flowed beautifully and the day was unforgettable. I 10/10 recommend eloping with your best friend!”
